The State Normal School announces W B Mooney as School Visitor to open Sept 1 and lead field work learning conditions statewide. At the Colorado Agricultural College in Greeley on August 17 Prof W G Chambers displayed a Rhode Island Red Hen that laid 200 eggs in a year. He keeps forty to fifty hens, buys all feed, and kept costs at about one dollar per hen last year. His flock averages over twelve dozen eggs per hen annually and open market prices yield about three dollars a hen yearly, with higher income from selling extra eggs or hatchings. He attributes success to intelligent feeding, good care, and trap nesting, feeding hens entirely dry with a light daily mix.

Master Willie Bolander aged 11 of Platteville suffered chronic earaches until doctors in Greeley found a decayed bone in the ear. Dr Ringle performed a mastoid operation and the boy, though bandaged, went home elated after recovery. His mother shared in the relief as the family celebrated.
