Surveyors traced a human remains near Masters indicating the body was not that of Mrs. Girardot who vanished decades ago. Fred Girardot and Mrs. G F Clifford conclude the find does not resolve whether death was violent or natural, leaving the mystery deep.
Provisional surveyors are suspected of taking a portion of a skeleton as a souvenir during a camp move. Mr Gipardot followed them across the prairie as investigators plan hearings with county elders to uncover the likely burial of a pioneer body from earlier days.
Lamborn of Bates park prepares for the Hotel Standley opening at the park next Saturday. He left Denver with thirty hotel dining room waiters. Head chef Sheady is at the hotel, Samuel Granger of Boston directing kitchen staff. The Rocky Mountain Hotel Men's Association plans a 100-member outing to Estes Park for the debut.
Wilson Smillie will be an usher at the wedding of Miss Emma Buchtel, daughter of former Governor Buchtel. The ceremony occurs Saturday night at Trinity Methodist church in Denver, with Denver society and Colorado Springs guests expected. Smillie is a Harvard Medical School classmate of the groom’s father.
Attorneys debate whether the United States Court of Appeals may grant an injunction against the city of Greeley and multiple railroads. Rumor suggests Union Pacific will seek such an injunction once appeal hours arrive, citing the Stuart and Murray 460 foot right of way case as precedent.

Announcements report the marriage of Miss Mary Barr to Charles Tiffin in Denver. The couple will spend the summer in Salt Lake City. Barr served as a stenographer for Sanborn & Houston in Greeley and studied at Colorado Boulder. Tiffin is a senior in the University of Colorado medical program.
Suffer Two workmen, Ahrens and Miller, employed with the Clayton Lumber company had their fingers badly crushed while at work in the brick yard Thursday. It is not thought that amputation will be necessary in either case and no serious results are anticipated.
Kersey June 17 Mrs. W. F. Spaulding and her children who were expected home from Omaha have decided to prolong their visit another week.
Joe Slater was shot by Pearl Rowe 18 in her Pierce County home while burglarizing the Rowe residence. Slater, wounded in the hip, was taken to Greeley hospital and described as a wandering vagrant. Pearl Rowe, noted for saving local buildings during a prior fire, defended her home as Slater forced entry.
Delphine Searles ten, in Eaton, confronts a burglar in her father's house after hearing a noise. She calls her father, warns him to come home, and then helps pursue the intruder. Otto Miller admitted the crime, was fined 310 and costs, and jailed to work off the fine.
Evans Colorado June 17 report that the Chris Ginther 160 acre tract southeast of LaSalle sold for 14000 to buyers from Audrain Missouri. Dr Frances Lonergan and Thurston Duncan acted as agents. The buyers, two Weld county alfalfa producers, plan to grow alfalfa locally. Next week Lonergan and Deacon will offer 7000 acres near Sterling through Western Irrigation Colonist Company.
A six man party including Charlies Ross and G L Taylor passes through Greeley en route to the Four Bar outfit on Snake River. They will help roundup hundreds of mustangs across the Routt and northwest Colorado ranges this summer, as ranchers unite to cull roaming horses deemed a menace to range grass and cattle.
Mr. Loney, not a fisherman, tended a perfect garden and went in for dinner. During his absence a swarm of grasshoppers devoured the entire garden, leaving the owner to watch as the insects flew away across the fields.
The playground association held at Mrs. W. R. Dedrick’s home adopted its constitution and by laws. A committee of J. T. Lister H. N. Haynes and D. D. Forward drafted them and the executive committee approved. Funds will be raised with vigor as workers push the campaign for a city playground for the children of Greeley. Ground preparation may lag but is expected to come, say organizers.
The G B B club hosted a lawn social Thursday at the home of Mr and Mrs Strickland and Mr and Mrs Starr. Fifteen local ladies plus sixty guests including husbands and children enjoyed a picnic supper on the lawn with games and friendly chatter.
LaSalle reports a shooting incident at the Union Pacific coal chutes where R. S. Drury faced a man connected to a prior dispute with engine boss Tom Finley. The man drew a gun and fired three times. the weapon failed to discharge. He vanished before searches concluded. The assailant claimed ignorance of the name.
State Auditor Randy Kenehan will deliver the chief address at Kersey’s Fourth of July celebration. The invitation notes his daily impact on Fourth of July excitement and promises an energetic talk to start the festivities.
C J Williams of Kersey Lumber Co is constructing a five room house on First street in Kersey with progress noted as of June 17. The project reflects local residential expansion activities and company involvement in building trades.

Ralph Robertson serving one day left was involved in the getaway but fled on a motorcycle and reached Sixth street and Eleventh avenue before being captured. The incident likely leads to renewed charges and an extended sentence.
Denver Laramie and Northwestern railroads will offer a fare and a third to Greeley from all points during the chautauqua season, under their certified information. Secretary McCrery of Commercial law will require other railroads to follow suit.
