A local farm group in ElS Water S dairymen plans to sell milk amid a for sale of irrigation water scheme. The notice outlines farm operations and community impact, with emphasis on possible water rights and agricultural markets.
Water is being sold in Weld county through tickets entitling one to ten or twenty days of access from Boyd lake. Tickets, numbered and signed by Dr. Sanborn with a witness, promise water use under a new irrigation method that may set a statewide precedent. The scheme aims to ease water distribution for consumers and sellers and will be pursued by other irrigation groups.
Tickets issued today permit the bearer to run water from the irrigation system. The document names The Greeley and Loveland Irrigation Company and The Seven Lakes Reserve Company. It states ten days water rights upon presentation of the card and voucher. Witness signatures appear incomplete.
