Mrs William Kittley, 23, wife of a local farmer three miles north of Longmont, killed herself with carbolic acid while two children aged one and three were in the house. Husband heard her scream and Dr Dillingham arrived too late. Coroner Macy took charge. no inquest planned.
A Weld County couple grave concern ends in tragedy as a young wife, reportedly suffering melancholia and threats, is found dead on the floor after her husband heard a cry. Dr. Dillingham arrived as she expired, the Kittley family noted as locally well known.
Miss Jessie Mosher entertained the Why Not girls and a few guests with a pleasant afternoon and dinner at her home Friday. The group, recalling Willy high school days, held a 6 30 o clock dinner with guests Miss Josephine Knowles Rhoda Haynes Marjory Watson Mabel Woolf Mrs J Scott Thompson Arthur Searing and L B Wyatt.

News of the death of Mrs Jessie McNee Brown wife of Parl Brown occurred at her home in Blairsburg Iowa on Wednesday June 16. She taught in local schools after graduating from Greeley high School in 1900 and the Normal in 1902. She is survived by her husband.
Hundreds from Greeley are expected to travel to Cam Pilei next Tuesday for excursions to the new town where lots will be sold at auction. A noon meal is planned and a general picnic will follow for those who attend.

Mayor Myers received notice from Vice President Mohler that brick plans are being prepared and will be sent once completed. The town lobbied for a brick structure after months of contention and faced a firm ultimatum in the bargaining.
Grace Gilmore a 16 year old girl from Joliet Illinois was arrested after visiting her sister in town. She wore a sailor suit given by a friend in Greeley and police say her conduct has made the sister's life a nightmare. She remains in custody awaiting relatives decisions on her welfare. The arrest came at the sister’s request and will continue until relatives provide guidance.
Mrs. J. L. Kendel traveled through Greeley Friday en route to Eaton after spending the week in Boulder as a delegate from the Greeley chapter to the P EF C convention.

Mr. and Mrs. D. R. McArthur and family depart next week for Estes Park to occupy the Houston cottage. Mr. McArthur will stay two weeks while Mrs. McArthur and the children remain for two months.
Windsor court finds Guy Hunter guilty for tying a tomato can to J. Koch's dog's tail. The judge rules the dog suffered insult and inconvenience and awards $17.50 in damages amid debate on pain and dignity.
Tickets for the Greeley Chautauqua season go on sale today in downtown stores and at the Union Bank block offices. Limited four weeks, with canvassers dispatched soon to promote sales and house to house outreach.

An open gathering hosted by the Westminster guild was held at Miss Edith McCreerys home on Friday evening. The event featured games and a musical program including solos by Evangeline Strickland from Lincoln Nebraska along with Mrs. Chester Scott and Mrs. J B McCutcheon. Invitations issued for the marriage of Miss Arba Brown of Sterling and John Hays of Sterling in Greeley relatives. The wedding is set for June 30. Miss Brown daughter of Mrs Lee Henderson and a Normal graduate now county superintendent of Logan County. The couple will reside in Sterling.
Bruce Bowles near Keenesburg arrested on a charge of selling government land to Pink Murray for 600 dollars. Bowles pleaded not guilty and was bound over to district court in 500 dollars, with a July 5 set date. Authorities allege similar sales by Regigg and others, claiming relinquishments were promised for payment in horses and farm implements.
