The Rev. Ernest Tuck completed his second year at Denver University and preached at a Denver suburb charge this year. He plans to spend the summer in Greeley.

The Chautauqua program plans a strong musical portion with speakers like Dr E A Steiner of Grinnell and Prof Hutchens of Oberlin Theological Seminary. The Fisher Shipp Concert Company and the Chicago Opera Company are among acts, with venue undecided and dates in the second week of July.

The Normal high school held its graduation in the chapel on Friday evening with 41 diplomas awarded. John R. Greeley hosts a rising wrestling scene with Roy Toliver and Art Mack from Nebraska set for a bout next Monday at Academy hall. C. McMillan of Saskatoon arrives to challenge the winner in 170 pounds with a side bet, while Owen Daly pursues a rematch with Toliver. The prior Toliver-Daly match lasted 47 minutes, ending in Toliver’s victory, and Denver fans are expected to attend a strong card. Managed by Varney, the event aims to boost local wrestling and boxing preliminaries with renewed appeal.
Mr and Mrs A D Pier entertained the Presbyterian choir at their home Friday evening. Pier has directed the choir this year and the event served as a farewell for Rev and Mrs Hunter who depart soon, plus Normal students leaving for home. About 50 attended with an impromptu program and refreshments served by Mrs Pier.
James W. Lee was sentenced to one to two years in the State penitentiary for kidnapping his three year old daughter after a divorce custody dispute. His appeal is noted with a 45 day stay. He traveled over 16 000 miles before capture, aided by the child’s pet cat clue. A separate $48 000 damages suit against the former wife’s parents awaits in Johnstown.
Chi Alpha Theta sorority hosted an elaborate dance for its members and three rival sororities in Camfield hall with Williams' orchestra providing music. Out of town guests included Mrs. Kearnes Edna Pierce and Jeanet Owens of Boulder and Elsie Connel Edna Biggs of Denver University. Chaperones and hostesses attended with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lister, Mr. and Mrs. W B. Patterson, Miss Wilkinson and Mr. and Mrs. DeBusk. Refreshments ofices and cakes were served in the adjoining room.

The Normal inter class meet saw the Senior class win with 51 points while the College class had 37 and the Junior class 7. West dominated track events winning ten firsts totaling 50 points and setting expectations for state levels.
