Lenox Captures County Baseball Tournament Title
Lenox won the county baseball tournament at Blockton by beating Gravity 5 to 2 in the final. Lenox advanced by defeating Bedford in the first round and Blockton in the second, while Gravity reached the final with wins over Clearfield and Sharpsburg. Clearfield scored first but Gravity led 2–1 until the sixth when Clearfield tied and then scored two more on a bases loaded situation. Gravity’s pitchers struggled in spots, but Lenox’s batting and baserunning powered the championship win. Gravity finished with strong showings, but six other teams did not challenge them this season and the squad aims to improve for next year.
