Legislate for the Farmers and Wartime Labor Shifts
Major Edwards, re-elected state senator from Rosebud county, signals that farmer needs will be considered in next legislature. The piece notes agriculture growing in Montana, calls for a state hail insurance boost, seed wheat aid, and a drastic weed law, while urging farm voters to press for commitments and independent voting when needed. It also covers President Wilson’s war address, travel plans, and praise for women at home, plus notes on fall plowing, wheat price policy, and anti trust actions against meat packers.
