Washington November 29 Liberty fuel vastly cheaper than gasoline and with many advantages has been invented by officers of the war department and is now produced in large quantities. The fuel is the result of more than 500 experiments by Major O B Zimmerman and Captain E C Weinberger of the research and development divisions of the general engineering depot.

Will Have a Strong Navy to 1920 Total Set
Washington reports the U S Navy will reach 1291 vessels by July 1 1920 including 40 battleships and 329 destroyers. The figure comes from Rear Admiral Griffin chief of the bureau of steam engineering for the house naval committee and released today. At war start the fleet was 364 ships and by November 1 before hostilities ceased the number was 777 excluding yachts and patrol vessels.
