Mrs John C Sharp of Jackson was elected to replace treasurer elect Mrs Kate Carlyle who could not accept the office. The meeting at First Congregational church covered almshouse census findings with 1218 men 545 women and 17 children among 50 reported houses.

It also mentions salaries for county officials fixed for two years and a morning session where fire relief for eastern residents was discussed by the board of supervisors. A committee was formed to study aid and collection and to publish a notice of assistance.

The old timber structure praised for quality may be moved on the lot, while the new three story stone edifice will provide larger quarters and better accommodations for education and music.
