In Silver Lake Indiana on November 20 two large wolves were driven from a swamp by month long fires near Disko eight miles southwest of the city. Harrison Rickerd, longtime Grand Traverse pioneer near Williamsburg and Garfield township, died Thursday after eight weeks of neuritis. He was 73, married Mary E. Lesley in 1865, and leaves six children: Clarence A. of Columbus Ohio, Almon W. of this city, Mrs. W. R. Johnson of Bowers Harbor, Mrs. Ostald Herkner of Garfield township, Mina at home, and Mrs. George Hollenbeck of Summit City. Funeral at 11 Sunday from his home, with Rev Guild of Adventist church officiating, burial at Oakwood.
