Earlier in Michig an December 2 George Liar esetz, an Indian figure who brandished a gun and attempted to shoot sheriff’s car, drew 50 days in county jail. Wind Sparks Fire On Grand Rapids & Indiana Engine

A gale at Grand Rapids railroad yards caused sparks to ignite the cab of a Grand Rapids and Indiana Railway engine. Indian fires on saloon in Honor. ear damaged in shooting

In Honor Michigan on December 1 George Glarsett, an intoxicated Indian buck, fired through a plate glass window at Bannatyne's saloon injuring bartender Frank Sheriff and punching out part of his ear. Constable Barber soon arrested Glarsett as a crowd gathered. the revolver was not recovered. Glarsett, about 26, fled after the blast.

Fire destroys livery barn in Honor Michigan

A blaze in Honor Michigan at 7 am destroyed the W S Robinson livery barn and contents. The fire originated in the office and spread before discovery. Barns owned by John Cruse and Todd's store were saved by vigorous efforts of residents and firefighters. Loss estimated around $2000. the unins ured building was the sole uninsured structure in the area.
