Pioneer resident Cone George HT Lawrence, 85, dies Monday at his daughter Mrs. O E Scofield’s home on Front Street after a period of illness. An early Grand Traverse region settler, he was noted for his interest in Traverse City’s development. He leaves a son and two daughters, with scattered mentions of relatives in Spokane and Lone Beach California.

A wedding of interest in southern society will take place in St. John's church tomorrow night. Miss Margaret Hawthorne Bryan daughter of the late United States Senator Bryan of Florida will wed Robert Marshall Price of Harrisonburg Virginia.
John Mikula age 71 died at his home 736 Cypress street early Wednesday. Born in Bohemia he came to this community years ago. He is survived by three sons and three daughters all residents of the city. Funeral services will be held Friday morning from the Church of Immaculate Conception.
From Wednesday's Record-Eagle report, Traverse City circuit court settled many long dragging cases. Judgment by default awarded Bradley & Metcal Shoe Co. $551.87 against Traverse City Shoe Co. Decrees granted in Riter v Brown and appointments made in Riter v Payton. Several cases dismissed or declared no action. Divorce hearings proceeded with V ibber and Theobald cases. The judge urged criminal action against husbands who abandon families. Afternoon session heard Wood v Wood arguments.
