Christmas social and local visits fill Maple City week

Saturday through Monday brought visits from Maple City residents to Traverse City and Northport for holiday travel. The Twenty Century Club held a festive Christmas tree luncheon at Miss Ella Smith’s home with gifts, a pink green table scene, and a Johnson Corcoran chocolate gift. Next meeting set for Miss Nettie Wurburg.

Bad Injury In Williamsburg Michigan

Grover Hammond aged 21 son of Charles Hammond suffered a severe injury when an axe glanced while chopping ties for Mr. Copeland. He cut three toes on his right foot, one of which required amputation. Despite intense pain, he walked to the home of William Copeland before being taken to Williamsburg for medical care by Dr. Bunce. The accident occurred at 9 o'clock this morning.
