Five hundred people attended a fund dinner at the Fire Hall on Saturday to support the Youth Summer program. Summer program expands reach for young swimmers
The Summer Activity program led by John Wheeler at Myrtle Spring opened with 7 children swimming Monday and 32 beginners registered. Wheeler seeks more adult volunteers and car-based transportation coordination as parents offer rides, while clarifying schedule for Mondays and Thursdays swimming and afternoon tennis for older youths.
