Serious injuries in highway crash near Grand Saline
Tuesday afternoon a Cadillac driven by Russell D. Fouts of San Angelo, attempting to pull back into traffic on Highway 80 east of Grand Saline, skidded into oncoming traffic. Horace Cleo Phunk of Emory, driving a westbound Chevrolet, struck the Cadillac, injuring both drivers. Mrs. Fouts was not hospitalized. Fouts was taken to Derby-Germany Hospital and later to Dallas. Phunk suffered multiple injuries including a broken leg.
