Graham people hurt in Wichita Falls
Mrs. W. C. Hamrick and Miss Bessie Lowe were seriously injured last Monday in Wichita Falls when a baggage truck struck by an engine was hurled onto them after alighting from a train. They were taken to a Wichita hospital in dangerous condition. Mrs. J. J. Gallaher was slightly hurt and her child was knocked down but unharmed.

Ku Klux Klan Holds Open Air Initiation at Jermyn
Citizens report an open air Klan initiation in Jermyn last Wednesday drawing about 500 cars and 300 Klansmen with many spectators. Participants were said to come from Loving Graham Jacksboro Mineral Wells and other nearby towns.

Sheriff Arrests Gibbs After Dance Hall Shooting in Herron City
Sheriff Saye took M. W. Gibbs into custody in Herron City after Gibbs shot the dance hall proprietor with a .22 pistol when asked to leave. The wounded man was hospitalized in critical condition.

Railroads award contract for new passenger depot
A telegram from Frank Kell says Leak's Construction Co and Federal Engineering Co of Chicago won the contract for a new passenger depot. Work starts immediately and the building should be finished in about ninety days. The project aims to improve Graham’s rail facilities for travelers.

Peddy Is Denied Place On Ballot For Senator
An official opinion from Assistant Attorney General L. C. Suttin concludes George E. B. Peddy of Houston cannot have his name placed on the November ballot as the Republican U S Senate nominee.
