The bride is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lish Stewart, praised as accomplished and well loved in Newcastle. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gomer Jones, described as an honorable young man. Priscilla Club Resumes Meetings After Prolonged Pause

Infant son of W R Gay dies after week of illness
Last Saturday morning eight month old Little W R Gay Jr died at home in New Castle after a week of illness. Funeral services were held at the residence by Rev Bengals of the Christian church. The family then went to Graham where he is buried in Oak Grove cemetery at 6 30 Sunday evening. A large concourse of friends attended. The newspaper extends sincere sympathy to the parents.

Finger Mutilation In Car Garage Accident
Horace Hughes suffered a severe finger injury last Friday when a car rolling from the garage caught his right middle finger in the brake. Doctors had to amputate the finger at the first joint, and he remains in pain from the incident.

Cotton opening rapidly across sections of the country
Reports indicate cotton opening rapidly with many areas lacking enough pickers. The crop was shortened by the weevil, but bolls formed before the insect invasion have opened all at once and picking is now in full swing.
Revival at Methodist Church Closes After Two Weeks
The two week revival at the Methodist church ended Sunday night. Evangelist Rev Neal returned home Thursday due to his baby’s illness, with Rev J Hall Bowman continuing services. Prof Poulter departed Monday for Oklahoma. The revival was a success and many joined the church, strengthening the organization.

Mrs. Dora Gatlin Cardwell Dies in Auto Mule Accident
Mrs. Dora Gatlin Cardwell born November 13 1867 in Canaan Mississippi died after a wagon accident near Orth Texas. While Mr and Mrs W C Cardwell traveled to visit a sister the team of mules bolted striking her head and killing her, she died forty minutes later. She married W C Cardwell in 1890 and had three children Mrs George Black Wiley and Ina Mae Cardwell. Burial followed at Oak Grove cemetery with service by Rev G W Black.
