United Charities Aids 350 People in Past Year at Graham
At a United Charity Board meeting at the Methodist Church Graham, new members F. C. Marshall K. A. Long and C. E. Beavers were installed and A. D. Stewart was reelected manager. The board reported about 350 people aided last year with total expenditures of 1444.78 dollars, mostly locals with occasional aid to transient beggars redirected to the charity board.

Stewart Hight wed in Grand Prairie ceremony
Mr Jack Stewart of Graham and Miss Virginia Hight of Grand Prairie united in marriage last Tuesday November 20 at the Baptist church in Grand Prairie officiated by Rev W H McKinzie. The bride and bridesmaids wore coral and old rose with pink carnation bouquets while autumn decor graced the church arch. The ceremony featured songs by Mrs Jack Grantham of Mineral Wells and piano by Nora Lively of Mesquite.

The local K of P lodge held its annual roll call Tuesday night with good attendance. Nominations were made for 1924 officers and a social hour followed with refreshments. The Graham Music Club directed by Miss Frances Roberts presented the Song of Thanksgiving by J. H. Maunder at the Methodist Church to a full house. The program featured scripture, hymns, solos by Mrs. H. R. Kruegel and Miss Frances Roberts, duets, chorus performances, and a benediction by Rev. T. B. Bowman. Also note John Ed Dowdle’s letter home from Yokohama describing the disaster there and his return voyage to California.

Miss Nadine Handy Dies in Dallas
The death of Miss Nadine Handy was reported from Graham. She died in Dallas Tuesday afternoon, the body shipped to Graham for burial at Oak Grove today. She lived in Graham in childhood and returned with her father in 1921. She had frail health for some time and many Graham friends mourn her loss.
