Dozier Sentenced to Sixteen Years in State Prison
A Dozier case verdict found Fuller Dozier guilty Saturday morning and sentenced him to sixteen years in the state penitentiary. The trial ran from Tuesday to Friday night with a packed courtroom, as prosecutors presented circumstantial evidence linking Dozier, a lifelong friend of Tom Fitzgerald, to the 1917 shooting near the Dozier residence. The original thirty-year conviction was reversed and remanded for retrial.

Mrs Huffman Dies of Pneumonia in Jean Home
Mrs R E Huffman died of pneumonia at her Jean residence yesterday. Funeral will be held there tomorrow at 3 PM if a daughter in Oklahoma and a son in the army arrive in time. She recently moved to Jean from Archer county and is survived by her husband and eight children.

Insurance Payout Linked to Tuscania Loss for Barnes Kin
Cleve Barnes of Itaska in Stephens County received ten thousand dollars in life insurance from the Government. The policy belonged to Edgar Barnes lost when the Tuscania was sunk on February 7 1918. Memorial services for Edgar C Barnes were held March 10 with many attendees from the region.

Death of J. T. Boyd in Loving County
J T Boyd longtime Loving County resident died at his home yesterday afternoon at 2 0 o clock and was buried in Oak Grove cemetery at 3 30 this afternoon. Rev J E Evans of the Christian church conducted the funeral. He was about 65 and leaves a wife and three grown children two sons and a daughter. He was a longtime church member and valued citizen.

Funeral of Mrs. Stella Keeter at Elbert
Mrs Stella Keeter 37 died at her home in Elbert March 2 and was buried there March 3 at 4 pm. Rev G W Black conducted the funeral. She lived in the community all her life and was long a Missionary Baptist member. She leaves her husband three children aged parents four brothers and one sister.

Death of Baxter Infant in Nacogdoches Burial Sunday
The son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Baxter died at his grandparents' home in Nacogdoches last Saturday after months of illness. He was buried there on Sunday while his parents, en route from Graham, returned home after the lull in medical hopes.

Peculiar Markings On Coal Spur Geological Curiosity
Dr. M. H. Chiam presented a small coal fragment from Graham mines showing scale like indentations on one side and vein like markings on the other. The observer speculates the marks could derive from a large serpent given absence of birds or higher quadrupeds in the coal age. The find may intrigue students of planetary geological history.

Miller injured by wagon fall on West Front Street
Mr. Miller fell from a wagon on West Front Street near the Graham Market last Monday evening. He suffered a broken right arm above the wrist and facial bruising, was treated and taken home on South Oak Street, and remains in fair condition though his advanced age suggests a lengthy recovery.
