Revival services conducted by Brother Rouse of the Graham Baptist church closed after ten days in a tent by the square. A large diverse congregation heard a powerful sermon on Influence, marking what attendees deem the largest Graham service yet.
Parents desiring to transfer children within scholastic age between districts in Young county must apply to the County Superintendent at once. No transfers after July 31. Applications for Graham Independent district may be obtained from Supt Edgar McLendon or County Supt R Lindsey.
The city witnessed the marriage of Harvey H. Honeycutt and Mattie L. Walker on Tuesday June 21 officiated by Rev. F. E. Singleton. J. T. Calley was shot in the hip near Loving by Mrs. Cora Roger, who faces assault and attempt to murder charges after a bail set at 100 dollars. Calley is reported only slightly hurt. A picnic at South Bend bridge is planned for July 9 with a brassy program, speeches by candidates, a large crowd, shade and water, and barbequed beef available.
W D Spivey has completed a new residence in east Graham and has moved into the dwelling.
Twenty month old Edgar Norris, son of Mr and Mrs J E Norris, died at home in west Graham at 7 15 pm yesterday. Burial took place at Oak Grove cemetery at 5 pm today. The community extends sympathy to the bereaved family in this sad hour.
The Baptist Church revival drew the largest Graham crowd to hear Brother Rouse preach on Influence. He centered the talk on Lost Influence, Good Influence, and Bad Influence, claiming the sermon would leave many attendees better people and be long remembered in Graham.
Miss Theola Yates returned last Friday from Fort Worth where she visited her sister Mrs. W. T. McWilliams. Dr. G. C. Kindley made a pleasant office call Monday and plans to spend the summer with his parents in the Indian Mound community after returning from Galveston.
Green Wood eldest son of the late A G Wood and longtime Graham resident died in Gainsville Tuesday night. His body was brought to Graham Wednesday by his brother Jack Woods and his widow and children. The remains were taken to brother B G Woods residence where sisters from Proffitt Jacksboro and others gathered. Interment will be at the family burial lot in Oak Grove tomorrow at 10 A M.
Mr and Mrs T C Greenwade and their son Tom left last Saturday for Tap Texas where they will spend several weeks visiting their sons.
