Gas Plant Explosion Hurts Oil City Worker
Herbert Schlittler was burned on the face arms and hands in a gas explosion at the Phillips Petroleum plant in Oil City shortly after 7 o clock last Monday morning. He was rushed to town for medical attention and the burns, while painful, were not serious and he is expected to recover fully. The blast happened when he struck a match to light the gas at the pumping plant.
