Albert Robinson known as Hap Conly fired in self defense after a street quarrel with a drunk man and a woman at dawn. Two knife wounds to Robinson and a fatal blow sent him to the hospital where he died. Happy Conley was jailed as a crowd gathered at the courthouse in Oil City.

Rock Island Safe Blown Sunday Night
The Rock Island station safe was blown last Sunday night and about eighty five dollars in cash and a like amount of checks were taken. Entry was gained by prying the door with an iron bar and the safe wrecked with nitroglycerine. Detectives are on the case with a crew to aid in catching the guilty.
