The Olney church prepares for its fourth Sunday dedication with Dr J B Gambrell of Dallas preaching the dedicatory sermon and addressing the crowd. Deacon M H Wolf of Dallas will give two or three speeches. Former pastors are expected to attend, with a two day program announced.

Trades Day Draws Crowd to Graham Tailored for Harvest Season
People from Young County and nearby areas gathered in Graham for Trades Day as farmers endured ongoing harvest and threshing work. A sizable livestock market and horse sales energized merchants while Rev J R Reynolds hosted a well attended Baptist social on Elm Street. County Commissioners finished their regular term with no new business.

Miller Ventures Car Purchase Trip to Fredericks OK
W. M. Miller traveled to Fredericks, Oklahoma, on Saturday to collect a car he bought there and now he joins others in the area. A. E. Oatman, from the county’s north part, has been visiting his sister, Mrs. R. E. Mabry.

Old Settlers Reunion Likely This August
The Leader notes inquiries about the Old Settlers Reunion and expects it to be held in August as last year. Arrangements will soon begin. Mr and Mrs A W Kay returned Friday from South Carolina and Mississippi. Mrs I T Gilmer and daughter accompanied them home from Gulfport Miss. Ed McCluskey of South Bend visited town Saturday. T L Douglas is reported ill at home. Mrs J C Reynolds died after a short illness in northwest Young County. She came to the county in 1879 with her husband the late J C Reynolds. She was in her 77th year and survived by children and grandchildren. Funeral at the family burial ground Friday, with many mourners. The Leader offers sympathy to the family.

Lige Casenbary, Early Settler, Honored in Murray
E. S. Casenbary of Murray was in the city Monday. Lige, one of the first settlers in his community, has lived forty one years on the farm he pre empted in 1876. He has long been regarded as one of the county’s best citizens and appears as natural as ever.

Fatal Holocaust at Olney Claims Child
In Olney last Saturday a house fire killed a three year old boy of Mr and Mrs Collins. Neighbors’ alarm came late and the entire building burned despite the fire department and townspeople efforts. The blaze is said to have started from an oil stove and the bereaved parents receive wide sympathy.
