Seventy-Three Graduates Celebrate Graham High School
Thirty seven boys and girls received diplomas at Graham High School in a two day ceremony led by Superintendent H B Cogdell and Principal Guy T Newton. Dr Clinton Lockhart of Texas Christian University gave the address. The sheriff's department stayed busy as 1000 feet of 5 inch casing from the Monroe Production Company near Olney was seized and three men jailed. one released as examining trials underway. Newcastle resident arrested for prohibition violation. Sheriff Cambern aided D N Birdwell in locating his 14 year old daughter Gladys Birdwell who disappeared Sunday and was found Tuesday in Herron City after riding with youths.

Oil promoters get heavy sentences in federal case
Charles Sherwin H Schwarz and General Robert A Lee were sentenced after guilty verdicts on charges of using the mails to defraud and conspiring to defraud in connection with General Lee Oil. Sherwin and Schwarz receive ten years and $15000 fines. Lee gets two years and $6000 in fines all terms concurrent. Judge Benjamin Bledsoe noted Lee as a willing tool in the scheme and refused to admonish him.

Inclement Weather Cuts Week's Tourist Registrations in Graham
Stormy conditions reduced tourist numbers this week in Graham. Registered visitors included G. A. Clark from San Jose, H. A. Bassett of Oklahoma City, F. W. Burkhalter of Dallas, and several Texans from Mingus Plainview Mexia Goldthwaite Roosevelt and more. Cars ranged from Ford and Hupmobile to Dodge Oakland and Chevrolet. Clark praised Graham’s park, noting it among the best since leaving California. The Civic League City Council and Chamber of Commerce support the park to keep it premier nationwide.

Merchants Make Big Booster Trip Today
Retail Merchants Association members planned a Thursday departure from South Bend through Eliasville Crystal Falls Woodson and Murray to promote Graham as a trade center. The group will distribute $2,000 in prizes on July 8 and a High School Band in Mexican attire will perform at each stop to foster neighborly ties.

Sanitary inspector reports all Graham dairies in good condition
Dr. R W Rutherford Graham sanitary officer inspected eight dairies serving the city. He found all in good condition with barns milk houses and cow health certificates improved since the inspection act. All dairymen are health certified and six of eight dairies have ready milk wagons. A butter fat and bacteria test will be made this week with public records to follow. Restaurants and fountains are regularly inspected.

Secretary Walker states the Chamber will pursue three major projects this year a creamery a brick plant and a hospital. A creamery is planned early with surveys of Young County dairies to gauge milk supply and a 4 percent butterfat result noted by the city inspector. A $100000 brick plant funded half by a local capitalist and half by investors is sought alongside a $50000 hospital for Graham and Young counties with locals urged to subscribe the remainder to ensure access to medical care.
