Diplomas were awarded by I T Gilmer to a large group of boys and girls, including seniors Odessa Long and Carl Smith, and post graduates Wallace Price, Faye Steen, and Ellen Wright.

Pioneer Citizen F Herron Dies After Ill Health
F Herron a longtime pioneer citizen of the county died Wednesday evening after months of illness and a paralytic stroke sequence. He fell in his yard Saturday, grew worse, and passed away yesterday. He owned land near the Ron oil field southeast of Graham and was a prominent community figure deserving an extended notice in the next issue.

Ku Klux Klan Offers Reward In Young County Case
County Attorney John B. Rhea received a letter from the Ku Klux Klan of Young County last Saturday with $25 enclosed as a reward for the arrest of a man guilty of a very bad crime. The name of the man can be secured from proper officials. The letter on official stationery bore the order seal stating the group is for law and order and against any form of law violation.

Temporary Bridge Across Brazos River Opens Quickly
The Gooseneck crossing temporary bridge across the Brazos opened to traffic this morning. Built in seven days, it handled 764 vehicles and shows the urgent need for a permanent crossing as floods washed out two spans of the old bridge.
