Will Solicit Funds Soon for Graham Band
Wesley Johnson, manager of the Graham Band, will soon solicit funds from town citizens to cover summer expenses. Merchants and residents have been generous, and Johnson hopes to raise the necessary money with little effort. Open air concerts will start in May, new music will be ordered, and uniforms may be purchased if band members pay. The town is asked to cover only actual expenses, with rehearsals already underway on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Prohibition Democratic Candidate Settled At Texas Convention
J. P. McKinley spent yesterday in Olney while Col. Tom Ball was chosen as the Prohibition Democratic candidate for governor at the Fort Worth convention held last Saturday. Lieutenant Governor Mayes withdrew from the race at the opening of the convention.

Severe winter spell harms crops in town
Last Sunday evening a fierce norther struck the town and lasted until yesterday morning. Peaches suffer injuries and the plum crop is feared ruined. Many farmers believe the oat crop was frozen out as well.
Gooseneck Bend Farmer predicts oat crop damage from cold snap
O. D. Lishes, a leading farmer, spoke of oats possibly ruined by the recent cold spell while in town yesterday. He noted oat traps are vital to local farmers and hoped the freezer’s impact is not as severe as feared. Wheat remains unhurt so far and with increased spring acreage the season may yield sizable summer proceeds.

City Defeats Graham High School 14 to 8 in Quick Rematch
In a second meeting on the High School grounds the city team beat Graham High School 14 to 8. Harkey fanned eight while Johnson struck out six. Hall on loan to the city led in runs with four as fielding and outfield miscues plagued Graham.

In a heavy labor accident last Saturday evening Malcolm Kramer severed one finger on his right hand while loading machinery. Doctors attempted to reattach the finger but its future depends on the physician's assessment after wound healing.
