J. E. Wright Dies of Pellagra at Home

J B Wright a county resident for twenty years died of pellagra at his Pe ha east home last morning. His remains were buried in Oak Grove Cemetery at 3 o clock Tuesday evening. He leaves a wife and one child.

J L McLaren rushed to Mineral Wells after receiving word that his brother Rob McLaren, long illness, grew very low. Rob was raised in the county and is mourned by many friends as his condition remained critical at press time.

Mississippi man buys mules for Texas penitentiaries

P. E. Matthews of Oxford Mississippi visited his brother in Fort Worth and bought several cars of mules for Texas penitentiaries where he is a trustee. He says the Mississippi system is profitable and run on business lines, unlike Texas prisons which cost the state over 500000 annually.

Local business men of Graham pledge to close daily at 6 o'clock except Saturdays and Big Mondays from March 1 to September 1 1914. doors close when the Graham Electric Light Co whistle blows as agreed by manager Mr Babb.
