Next Monday Trades Day in Graham has grown into a major monthly event with repeated large crowds. The feature includes moving pictures, free ticket giveouts, and full venues with hotels restaurants and stables crowded on Sunday nights before the event.
The G T W altered its eastbound arrival to Loving at 9 38 a m and westbound at 4 27 p m. The Seymour Mineral Wells round trip now stays overnight at Loving and spends 15 minutes at Mineral Wells. The Rock Island train from Graham now departs 6 30 a m instead of 7 00 a m, causing a few riders to miss it.
Entertainment crowds filled the picture show with hundreds pleased. A special program is planned for next Monday. People are urged to buy tickets from local merchants early to avoid a rush before the 2 o'clock show.
A large Sunday congregation heard Rev Hall at the Presbyterian Church preach on Matthew 6 16 urging light and good works as visible faith and on Psalms 72 11 stressing service as duty and love The day featured morning praise music and an evening gospel solo with a special Endeavor service led by Miss Rubenkoenig.
J A Duckworth, former friend of The Leader, visited Monday and renewed for the paper. He has moved to Loving and entered business, expecting to enlarge stock soon so the public can obtain most anything from him. The paper wishes him success.
Last Monday Otis Patton was seriously injured when a mine car ran back into the tipple, trapping him underneath and breaking a rib. Latest reports say injuries are less severe than feared and Patton is recovering well.

Mr and Mrs Will Norman spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Will Loving and Mrs L B Kidwell who returned home Monday to remain a few days before leaving for her home in Cache Oklahoma.
Mary Catherine Lamons, two, daughter of Mr and Mrs M L Lamons, lost the end of her right index finger when a rocker tipped over yesterday evening. She was taken to a physician and later brought to the office, appearing calm despite the injury.
A. B. Casburn and daughter Josephine spent Sunday and Monday with relatives in New Castle and returned Tuesday morning. They were accompanied home by Miss Fannie Ragland who had been visiting in Elec- 4wa tte.
District Court convened Monday with Judge Scurry presiding. Governor Gol quit appointed Hon. Leslie Humphrey of Henrietta as district attorney, arriving last night to begin work. Earlier County Attorney Fay Marshall served as DA. Cases disposed include G. M. James v. Taliaferro trespass to try title for plaintiff and State v. Unknown Owners taxes for State. Divorces granted in Ragsdale matters. Foreclosure and debt judgments also recorded. Jury list noted for next sittings.
Eddieman accepts a waidtton position with The John Ernison Co as an clerk in the grocery department.
