Henrietta Couple Wed In Home Ceremony

Harry S. Douglass and Mamie Ellis of Henrietta wed Tuesday afternoon at the Ellis home on West Gilbert street with Pastor J. B. Lumbley officiating. The couple left for Newcastle with guests joining to Wichita Falls, then plan to return home next week. The bride, raised in Graham, is sister to Mrs. J. S. Simpson and Mrs. Tom Howell. The groom is a popular Henrietta businessman.

Colquitt Campaign to Open in Wichita Falls

Wichita Falls papers announce Hon. O. Colquitt, Texas railway commissioner and gubernatorial candidate, will open his campaign with an inaugural speech likely at Lake Wichita pavilion. The event is expected around the tenth of the month with preparations under way.

Pioneer Texas matriarch Mrs Gholson dies at 84

Mrs E A Gholson died last Sunday night at eighty four. She is buried Monday at Oak Grove cemetery at 4 pm. Her husband, a Mexican War veteran, served under Houston at San Jacinto. She leaves three children Buck Gholson of Carlsbad New Mexico A D Gholson of Connor Creek and Mrs T H Scarborough of Graham. The Leader extends sympathy.

Ladies Aid Pie Social Plans at Presbyterian Church

The Ladies Aid and Missionary Society met with Mrs. Owen and chosen “saved” as reference. A pie social is set for February 22 at the Manse from 5 to 10 pm with all kinds of pies. Receiving helpers include Mesdames Hutchison Ringgenberg Wynns Morrison McCarroll Gracy Kay Bryan. An informal readings and music program will be provided. The next meeting is February 24 at 4 pm with Mrs. Tom Price.
