Sunday February 19 marked progress for our city as Mr Duke of Dallas spoke across churches. He urged laymen to educate and support boys, promote systematic giving, and trust God in tithing. The day featured sermons, scripture readings, and a joint youth meeting led by Horace Tidwell.

The region enjoyed another heavy rain last Friday and Saturday, the best of the winter, which aided soil moisture and stock water. Cold, frozen ground since then killed many crop pests while the fruit crop, likely ruined by severe weather, is offset by the favorable freezes. Overall, outlook is optimistic for another bumper year.

The Dorcas Society of the First Baptist church met at the hospitable home of Mrs Hattie Price on South Cherry street Thursday the 11th with eleven members present. Two machines ran while others sewed by hand. The results are ready to be sent to Buckner Orphans Home. The group agreed to rename itself Dorcas rather than B O H Sewing Society. Reporter.
H Z Duke of Dallas spoke at both the Baptist morning and evening services and at the Presbyterian gathering, delivering plain practical talks on tithing. Weather harmed attendance, but remaining listeners found the talks helpful and some vowed to tithe. Judge P A Martin also spoke in the afternoon.

Mrs J L Flint a pioneer resident of Graham dies suddenly at her South Oak street home after a two hour illness. She leaves a husband eight children and was a longtime Baptist member. funeral set for tomorrow at 10. Also Douglass Finch and Miss Clara Mare Finch wed at seven o clock Wednesday at the bride’s parents home before departing for Shreveport Louisiana for their honeymoon.
Local seed dealer Mabrf and Sons invites patrons to review new seed varieties under the BEST label. The campaign emphasizes germination tests, pest resistance, and soil compatibility to guide farmers toward proven yields.
The U C V program for the monthly AT Gay Camp U C V event is set for Saturday March 4 at 2 a m in the courthouse.
