Large Crowd Attends Free Concert in Courthouse Park
A sizable crowd gathered last Friday evening for a free concert in the new band stand at courthouse park. Despite cloudy skies and threat of rain the event drew many attendees who enjoyed the music. automobiles and buggies lined the street until the concert ended. The Christian church ladies served cream to patrons with strong support. Tomorrow night the Pythian Sisters will offer cream and cake and perform a special program during the band concert.

The Attorney General approved and the Secretary of State filed the charter of the Stamford and Eastern Railway of Stamford Texas in Jones county to Graham in Young county via Haskell Shackelford and Stephens counties. Surveyors are at work on an air line from Stamford to Graham likely passing Woodson and Murray, with two weeks to reach Graham before construction.
