L A Chandler reports a stalk eight feet tall with two large ears from a Government seed source. He owns seven acres of corn plus another field, averaging about thirty bushels per acre. Despite drought and hot winds, yields exceed county averages, with last year yielding over one hundred bushels and this year about five hundred bushels expected. He plows deeply, preserves moisture, and maintains soil for years.
