Ordi nance granted electric franchise to Northern Iowa Gas
The Graettinger Iowa Town Council passes a 25 year ordinance granting Northern Iowa Gas & Electric Co. the right to erect and operate an electric plant, distribution system, and wires in Graettinger with rates, service obligations, street-light provisions, and arbitration terms. The measure requires voter ratification on Oct. 16 1916 and sets construction deadlines and penalties.
