Bank Robbery in Greenville Prompts Manhunt
Two masked men robbed the Greenville Clay county bank of 200 dollars and Liberty bonds on Monday morning. News reports say the robbers were surrounded near Gillett Grove six miles east, with armed men blocking roads as the hunt continued. A separate claim involves Robert Martin, a self confessed Curlew bank robber, who says he robbed the bank but gave himself up in Globe Arizona after being brought back by Sheriff Jackson. Miss Ethel Barton disputes his involvement, noting the Curlew bank was not robbed by him.
