NFO Eyes Grain Ownership Push For Harvest Farmers
NFO announces increased activity to keep grain ownership with farmers at harvest. Frank Duhn of Palo Alto County says storage on farm or at elevators and terminals will be encouraged for corn soybeans and sorghum. The program aims to price grain while ownership remains with producers and cites past soybean sales in multiple states delivering a 7 to 12 cent advantage. Farmers needing immediate harvest cash are urged to use government loan programs or standard lenders for 80 percent loans on the crop.
