Spencer Fair Draws Thousands Despite Rain
The 1925 Clay County Spencer fair drew thousands from Grant’s inger and vicinity despite heavy rain. Attendance reached about 45,000 on Thursday with 36,000 paid admissions that day, while Tuesday flood-rough weather dampened but did not stop the event. Livestock displays, women’s garden booths, and parades drew crowds as Spencer prepared for larger crowds next year.

Grand Stand Platform Hosts Show as Fair Ends in Fireworks
The platform in front of the grand stand witnessed the evening program closing with a grand fireworks display. The fair featured a midway and many stands and attractions, all generously patronized. Spencer residents plan a large fair in 1926 and urge broad attendance.
