Young Couple Married At Spencer Thursday
Mr. Howard Maxon son of Mr and Mrs R C Mason and Misa Florence M Smith daughter of Mr and Mrs R E B Smith were united in marriage at the Christian parsonage at Spencer Thursday morning October first. Witnesses were Mr and Mrs A N Jensen of Graettinger. After the ceremony the couple visited the bride’s parents in Lost Island and shared a wedding dinner. They will travel to Murdo and Wessington Springs before living with the groom’s parents on the farm. The Times offers warm congratulations and best wishes for a long, happy marriage.

Two Boys Suffer Broken Arms In Parking Accident
An unusual incident at the High School parking grounds Friday evening involved a Ford car that kicked twice, breaking a boy York's arm both times. Gerald Bonstead owned the car. Gordon Standing also injured his arm when attempting to start it. Both bones set and knitting well. The five year old son of Mr and Mrs Martin Stewart broke a leg after a fall near a collar way and is improving at Coleman hospital.

Local Legion Surpasses Grant Graettinger Drive Goal
The Gractinger community oversubscribed its five million dollar nationwide endowment fund drive for disabled ex soldiers and orphans of those who died in service.
