Funeral for aged Boone man. Conrad family grief grows
Charles Conrad reported his aged father died Wednesday in Boone, with funeral held Sunday as he could not attend. Visitors included Mrs. George Patterson and Mrs. Simpson of Ringsted, a Conrad niece, and Maynard Ware of Graettinger with family. In judicial news, the clerk of court vacancy is filled by the district judges. Mrs. E. J. McEvoy recently succeeded her husband by appointment of Judges DeLand Heald and Davidson.

Father Dobberstein aims a multi million labor project including Carrara statuary and a vast geologic collection, hoping to inspire contemplative faith and ambitious regional fame. The plan envisions 23 acres of marble statuary, twelve thousand miles of travel for materials, and a sanctuary that may rival major midwestern sights if completed as envisioned.
