Viggo Jacobsen plans to quit farming and move to Bismark North Dakota this month with his young daughter joining Mr and Mrs K S Stokes. He will hold a full closing out sale December 10 featuring four horses fifteen cattle fifteen hogs extensive machinery and household goods. Machinery is nearly new well kept and in fine condition. Dr Reidy Mourns Death of Brother Michael Reidy
Dr M J Reidy of this place mourns the death of his brother Michael who died at his home in Winthrop Town on Sunday. The deceased was 65 and single. Funeral Of Phillip O Connor Held Last Thursday
The community mourns Phillip O Connor a pioneer who died Tuesday November 18 after a long decline. Born January 6 1842 in Ireland he lived in Emmetsburg enjoyed farming Walnut township and raised a large family including John M Maggie T Philip B Frank L Joseph D Nellie L Christopher Mae B and Lillian with Mary Mohan and his sister Kate Ryan among survivors. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception church with Rev Feather Kelly and a solemn high mass, followed by burial in the Catholic cemetery.
