Jake Frick lost his Ford touring car last week in a collision at the J A Spies corner while adjusting a faulty car on the westbound lane. Ralph Miller and his wife, in a Ford touring car, slowed and pulled right as the crash occurred. no injuries were reported and Frick offered to compensate the Mayes for damages. Frick then walked back to town to buy another car.

Albert Masters Struck By Auto Leaves Boy Hospitalized
Albert Masters 16 son of Bert and Mrs Masters of west of town was struck by Sheriff Nivison of Estherville Tuesday evening. He suffered broken right and left thigh bones, both fractures angled and crosswise, with setting delayed for a day or two. He was taken to Coleman hospital at Estherville after the impact near the Masters home. Doctors planned to plate the fractures but provided only pain relief for the moment. Albert, a Graettinger High School sophomore, is noted for bright academics and athletics, with basketball prospects described as promising. Resting fairly well, he is expected to endure a lengthy recovery aided by his sturdy nature.
