Memorial Day activities are set for Graettinger with a 9 a.m. service for veterans at the High School grounds, cemetery grave decorations, and a 2:30 p.m. Hawkeye theatre pageant depicting America's progress. A 40-voice chorus will accompany the pageant, and John Corey Jr. of Spencer will deliver the Memorial address. The American Legion and Ladies' Auxiliary urge full attendance to honor fallen soldiers.

Graettinger High School Routs Ayrshire in Season Finale
Graettinger High School defeated Ayrshire 6 to 3 at Ayrshire home park in Graettinger’s second win over the team this season. Erickson pitched well for Graettinger after early runs, with Van Horsen and Geil keying the offense in the second and fifth innings. Ayrshire touched Graettinger for one more in the sixth, but Graettinger’s four-run fifth sealed the game. the season ended with Graettinger 2–1 in weather-shortened three-game slate.

State to Guarantee Eggs Under New Jersey Plan
State and federal oversight will allow poultrymen to grade eggs under a nonmandatory standard. Thirteen Hour Devotions Held at Catholic Church

Clarissa Berdin and W L Harper wed Tuesday May 27 at the Lutheran parsonage in Emmetsburg with Miss Florence Gerdin and Miss Elian Petersen as witnesses. The couple will live in Ames where Harper serves as secretary of the Service Extension at Ames College. Berdin has been a stenographer.
