Memorial Day Program by Local American Legion in Graettinger

Woodman Hall Receives New Oil Stove With Burners
The Woodman hall gains an oil stove with a supersex burner, praised as among the finest. Junior and Senior class members held a Thursday evening program at Woodman hall with Emmet Lambe as toastmaster and welcomed by Carl Tisenbast. Performances by Barbara Thorson Catherine Foster Wilmer Petersen Mildred Truesdell and Supt White featured songs talks and a class motto talk. Afterward Upper class and faculty enjoyed a light repast before a Salida Colorado trip and a Legion Membership Drive urged enlistment before Memorial Day to support the American Legion and bonus program.

Auto Collision At Creamery Corner
Friday morning a Ford driven by Charles Stewart and a Dodge driven by Peter Miller collided at the creamery corner. Both cars were heavily damaged and both drivers sustained injuries from flying glass. additionally a three year old child of Mr Miller was injured in the same way.
