Emmetsburg Hosts Junior Boxing Tournament This June
Emmetsburg will stage a junior boxing tournament starting in June with at least forty entrants expected. The first twenty contestants eliminate in the first week of June, the next twenty the following week, with finals soon after. The winner receives an all expenses paid trip to Des Moines. Barley and Roofing Building Destroyed by Fire
A blaze at the D. C. Barringer ranch east of Graettinger destroyed a building storing barley and roofing material. The 1600 bushels of barley inside were largely saved.
