Veronica O Rourke and Max M Stark were united in marriage at Theresa’s church in Fort Dodge Iowa. The ceremony was solemnized last week with a reception following at the bride’s parents home, attended by family and friends. The groom, a Fort Dodge Mercy graduate, is entering real estate work with several farms in the area. The groom presented a diamond ring to the bride. They plan to reside in Fort Dodge after a wedding trip.

Members of the M I Ladies Aid society hosted a Friday afternoon bazaar and noon luncheon at Woodman Hall. An evening concert followed with a greeting song by children, piano duet, chorus, vocal trio, costumes, readings, and a baroque musical sketch, raising interest in the Interchurch World Movement.

Mules Fail to Arrive for Nelson's Graettinger Sale
Olaf Nelson planned a sale of 24 young mules in Graettinger for Saturday but the animals did not arrive as they were driven overland with delays. Carl Peterson's cattle sale in the afternoon was not very successful, offering 80 head but selling only ten at a low price. Martin Laughlin bought the ten, and the remaining 70 were moved to Ruthven for later auction. Demand for cattle was weak. Mrs. John J. Mahan visited friends in Emmetsburg Saturday.

Co. P. Jensen was a brief caller at the Times office Saturday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Jensen and their son Louis recently returned from Los Angeles where they spent the winter. They left Graettinger November 12 and arrived the 16. On the return trip they left April 16 stopping at Salt Lake City Grand Junction and Denver. Colorado Springs train stalled in snow. In Brush they visited Mrs Jensen's relatives. Jensen says western living costs cheaper. A good meal costs 30c-35c in Colorado and 76c Des Moines. Profiteering in rent noted in California. 40,000 Iowa visitors attended the Iowa picnic. 35,000 Nebraskans at the Nebraska picnic. 160,000 at a distant LA attraction. Nels Show bought an Oakland Six and a $4,000 modern bungalow near L C Christiansen. Jessen visited Mr and Mrs Fahnestock who plan to return to Graettinger in June.
