A Harshly satirical recollection of Iowa politics gathers at Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, detailing delegates, district caucuses, and Cummins’s role at the 1920 convention. The piece contrasts convention vigor with primary fatigue, notes women delegates’ ambitions, and comments on party strategy and the Savery Hotel hub of political maneuvering. It also briefly touches on a 1920 play by Sadie Given.
