Mrs Nicholas Adams aged 81 died Monday evening at the home of her daughter Mrs John Galleger in Emmetsburg after months of ill health from gall stones and kidney trouble. Born April 16 1852 in Bradford Iowa she married Nicholas Adams in 1870 and lived in Chickasaw Kossuth Palo Alto Vernon and Emmetsburg regions before settling near Rehm North Dakota then Washington and Colorado. She leaves eight living children, 47 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren. funeral held at Assumption Church Emmetsburg with interment in the Catholic cemetery.
