Girl Thought Dead Revived By Physician
Miss Lillian Johnson, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs 3 A Johnson of farms north of Graettinger, near Estherville, was revived by doctors after watchers believed she had died. Stricken with influenza, she later suffered appendicitis and mumps before scarlet fever. Her recovery chances were initially slim, but she regained breathing and shows good progress. She is a niece of Mrs John C Jettson of Boone and was well known to Graettinger youths. Saturday was a busy day in Graettinger with crowds and many local bargains drawing shoppers for community street sales and ads.

R C Gorton of the Myhre barber shop has purchased the A T Sweeley barber shop at Redman and will take possession today. Gordon, employed here, made many friends and is valued for his skill. The Times wishes him success in his new location. Mrs Turneaure remains in serious condition after a fall injuring her hip bone and is kept under drugs since Monday.

Yarl Lehigh and family plan a trip to Council Bluffs this Saturday to visit relatives and friends. J. A. Lehigh, 78, of Macedonia, suffered a light stroke recently. his wife, 74, has recovered enough to be active after two years as an invalid. Julius Brekke and two sons from Seattle arrived to visit his parents Jacob and Mrs. Brekke and may stay through May. Mr. Brekke may travel west with them.

Crippen Service Station Destroyed by Fire
The oil station at the Grippen corner was destroyed by a fire Saturday evening at five o'clock. The blaze started in the canopy likely from defective wiring. The building was covered by insurance. Owner Mr. Willig of Ruthven plans to rebuild. Also noting a stronger drought with rain, moisture improves conditions as the growing season looks promising. Auto crash injures Graettinger meat market owner
Robert Simonsen proprietor of City Meat Market of Graettinger suffered a serious crash Sunday near Maple Hill. He escaped with two broken ribs a cut tongue and other injuries while en route to Rochester for a minor operation. His Nash was wrecked. Boxing card planned at Emmetsburg features Kenneth Reeves and Thomas Craven with local champion Barney Hassel not currently scheduled.
