Ingvald Refsell Dies at 66 in Wallingford
Ingvald Refsell aged 66 died Friday at his Wallingford home after a long illness. Born in Modum Norway in 1862 he moved to Emmet county as a child and later farmed with his family. He is survived by his wife Bertha nestegaard son Ole and four daughters along with brothers and grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church with multiple local pastors officiating and pallbearers named from the Refsell families.

Smallpox cases rise in Iowa with school vaccination rule

Bank Assets Sold Friday For 1525 In Auction
Farmers & Merchants State bank assets were sold Friday at J A Spies office with strong attendance and high bidding. Items sold individually totaled 47 dollars before a whole lot brought 1525 dollars, purchased by Algona resident W C Danson who is in Graettinger settling creditors. Depositors are expected to receive about ten percent in the final distribution, following prior payments totaling forty percent.

Boy's Arm Hurt In Basement Wringer Incident
