Andrew Jacobsen aged 80, pioneer resident of Graettinger, died Monday after six weeks of stomach and kidney trouble. Funeral at 1 pm Friday at his son James Jacobsen's home, with services at South Walnut church by Rev. H. P. K. Hansen. interment in South Walnut cemetery. Miss Arlene Myhre of Graettinger High School won second place in the humorous class at the Estherville sub district contest for the Circus topic, coached by Miss Farquhar.

Graettinger Boys Lose to Spirit Lake in Spirit Lake Tourney

Athletic Show Draws Crowd With Close Wrestling Events
Friday evening featured an athletic show with several notable matches. Harold Salisbury defeated Will Albro of Arnolds Park, taking the first fall in one minute and the second in eighteen minutes. Ed Herke beat Louis Olson in two falls, fourteen minutes then a minute and a half. Salisbury and Herke impressed, while Graettinger’s opponents proved resilient. A three round boxing match between Hankey of Osgood and Elmer Sullivan of Ringsted thrilled spectators. A wrestling match between Salisbury and Johnson is set for next Saturday at Woodman hall after the first show, with usual admission.
