Madison man near death after train collision
John H Reierson, 47, of 126 Talmagigest Madison Wisconsin, was critically injured when his truck was struck by a Milwaukee Road train at Division Street crossing. He suffered multiple lacerations, a fractured arm, possible skull fracture and internal injuries. Railroad officials said signals were operating and the train carried wreckage 56 feet.

George Frick and family completed an 8000 mile auto journey to Canada and the Atlantic coast. They visited Detroit Niagara Albany and New York City with stops in Springfield Boston and Washington. Graettinger city council approved a beer ordinance at a second special meeting last evening fixing licenses at 150 but an amendment lowered it to 100. A business district covering Robbins Avenue from the depot to Hawkeye picture house was defined, eliminating the highway area.
